UCW’s Principles

United Christian Women is founded on the basis of 5 principles. These principles serve as the foundation of our mission, strategy, and focus and are incorporated in everything that we do as an organization. A “United Christian Woman” is a woman of God. Through our faith, we are united.

Key Scriptures

It is through our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we find strength to fulfill our purpose in life. We seek to encourage one another as we continue to pursue the will of God for our lives. Together, we seek to know, hear, and spread the Word of God as we continue to serve the Lord by living a God-centered life with humility, action, and spiritual outreach to peers.

2 Corinthians 8:21, 1 Chronicles 16:29, Matthew 28:20, Acts 1:8

The importance of education is increasingly evident in today's society and is needed in every aspect of life. We encourage members to be well-rounded and see this as a critical factor to ensuring one's overall success in life. We advise members to actively pursue an educational path that will lead to positive growth and self-sufficiency, allowing for each individual to become a strong contributor to their immediate community.

Romans 12:2, 1 Chronicles 16:24, 2 Chronicles 34:31

Community Service

With a heart that is inclined to serve those around us, we are fulfilling our mission in life. It is our responsibility to give back where needed and bless those as we are able. Great gifts mean great responsibilities; greater gifts, greater responsibilities! Therefore, we give back to our community – family, friends, loved ones, the body of Christ, and those in need - by being proactively engaged in a service to the local community.

Luke 12:48, John 3:27, Matthew 25:34-40

As women of God, it is important to surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who are striving for similar goals as we fulfill our God-given purpose in life. It is wise to glean wisdom from sound, spiritual company. Together, we have the capability to strengthen the bonds of sisterhood in faith through social engagement and activities. Therefore, we serve as kind witnesses and do good to all, especially those who are of the household of faith.

Proverbs 27, Joshua 23:6, 7 & 24:1-33, Galatians 3:26 & 6:1-10

Self Empowerment

Being confident, bold, and strong in one's values and beliefs creates strength of character and self esteem in who you are. We embrace who God has called us to be and remain strong in our journey to fulfill this mission. We strive for virtuosity, sensitivity, and proactive and positive development of ones self through continued implementation of all of UCW's principles.
